Introduction of CPAM:CPAM is introduced into the wastewater treatment system. The quantity added is carefully controlled based on the specific characteristics of the wastewater and treatment goals.
Formation of Flocs:CPAM Powder, being a cationic polymer, forms large, positively charged polymer chains when in contact with water. These chains attract negatively charged particles, including suspended solids and organic matter, creating flocs.
Flocculation:The formed flocs aggregate and bind together, increasing in size. This process is known as flocculation and is crucial for the efficient removal of contaminants.
Sedimentation or Flotation:The agglomerated flocs can then be separated from the water through either sedimentation or flotation.
Sedimentation: The flocs settle to the bottom of the treatment tank due to their increased mass.
Flotation: Air is introduced into the system, causing the flocs to float to the surface for easy removal.
